German Snails

I am in Germany in the village of Höpfigheim, visiting my sister and her family. As always, I am enjoying the pretzels from the bakery which is a block away. I went walking with my 21 month old nephew, and I enjoyed the gardens and vineyards, and he was enjoying the slugs and snails. Beauty is certainly in the eye of the beholder. He cried every time we left a snail. My passion for the flowers was not as great at that!
Walking with him was reminding me that it is a good thing to stop and take time to enjoy everything. He laughed so hard when I shook a hanging branch over his head that was covered in rain water. The branch “rained” on him and he laughed and said “again” about five times before I thought he might be too wet and his mum might be mad at me!
